Pedestrian
"A Word From Glen Ballard" -- Joel Shearer is the cornerstone of Pedestrian, a band that's a fountain of creativity for Joel and his musical accomplices Zac Rae, Blair Sinta, and Joe Karnes. I met Joel in 1994 when Guy Oseary recommended him to play on a record we were making with a new artist named Alanis Morissette. Joel came in and played on a song called "Right Through You". He tuned his E string down and proceeded to shred the track with power and untamed sonic personality. He's a wild genius on the guitar, and as it happens, a lyrical and sensitive poet. His spirit is rich and big and like his music, searching, growing, giving something extra, a compassionate and passionate man. Joel and Zac work like pistons in an exotic engine, and both are serious musical and sonic explorers. They've also both got mad chops, but they always use it in the service of the music being played and it's intentions. They are the real deal and then some. I've seen their close-up magic in the studio and there's not a more creative duo than these tuo. Blair Sinta revs up the grooves in fine fashion and has deep pockets all over the record, and Joe Karnes is inventive and totally with the program
